Did you know that you can save around $400 a year by using cloth wipes?

Cloth wipes are easy to use too! Simply treat them like your nappies - dry pail and pop them in the wash together. If you are going to use cloth nappies, it makes sense to use cloth wipes too (who wants to dispose of a pooey wipe into the bin?)

Using cloth wipes not only means that you will save money, they are also kind on your baby's skin and minimize waste.

There are different ways to wet the cloth wipes:
                                                                                • Make up a solution in a container and place the wipes in so they're wet and ready to use.
                                                                                • Wet the wipes with water as you need them.
                                                                                • Use a bottle or container of solution and wet the wipe as you need them.

My favourite is having a solution made up in a container so the wipes are ready to go.  I've reused a commercial plastic wipes container from a friend so they are easy to get to, and also have a travel container to keep in my change bag for outings.

See our range of cloth wipes for purchase.

                                                                                Homemade Wipe Solutions

                                                                                Plain Ol' Fashioned Water
1 cup water - use water straight from the tap or use cool boiled water.
This is all our grandparents used. It is recommended to use cool boiled water and soft wipes for newborns and baby's with bad nappy rash.

                                                                                Soft as a Baby's Bum
2 tbsp almond oil (avoid if your child has nut allergies)
1 cup of warm boiled water
Place into a container and mix together.  You could also use other oils like avocado oil, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, or a mixture of oils.

                                                                                Naturally Anti-bacterial

Place into a container and mix together.
Tea Tree is widely used for it's anti-fungal and anti-septic qualities.
