Once you get your head around it, it's not that confusing, really. We demonstrate and sell four different types of nappies. 

Fitted nappies require a separate waterproof cover. They are shaped like a disposable nappy and have Aplix (or Velcro) or snaps for securing. Once in place, a cover can be placed over the top. Fitted types are a good all round nappy for daily use, newborns, nights, heavy wetters, breastfeed babies and long car trips.

PROS: The entire nappy is absorbent, made from natural fibres, can be worn without a cover for more breathability (but don’t put clothes overtop or they will get wet!) 

CONS: Takes a little longer to put on as it needs a cover over-top, longer drying time as the nappies are really absorbent, can be a bit bulkier than other types, other carers may get confused with how the nappy + cover system works.

Benefits of the TotsBots FlexiTot: Aplix fastening allows a good adjustable fit and is easy to put on wriggly baby's. Two sizes allow for a good fit without being too bulky. The FlexiTot is made from natural (bamboo) fibres so it is kind to sensitive skin, breathable and is really absorbent.

Benefits of the Baby BeeHinds Hemp & Bamboo Fitted: Excellent value for money, one size means cheaper setup costs for a complete nappy system. One size is also brilliant if you have two children in nappies such as a toddler and a newborn. Hemp & Bamboo are natural fibres and is breathable, kind to sensitive skin and is super absorbent. 

Benefits of the itti bitti Bitti Boo: Supreme absorbency with two itti bitti snap in bamboo boosters in the same style as their Snap In One’s with the hourglass booster also topped in silky soft bamboo velour. Because they snap apart into 3 pieces, these super absorbent nappies dry fast too! 

Covers are the waterproof layer for your fitted nappies. You only need one cover for every 5 nappies. Newborns do sometimes need a couple more covers because of their runny poo which can escape from the nappy – don’t worry the cover saves it from escaping any further and that’s what it’s there for!

Benefits: Keeps baby’s clothes dry, covers breath preventing nappy rash, quick drying time, protects against blowouts, Velcro & Aplix fastenings allows a good adjustable fit and is easy to put on wriggly baby's. 

Pocket nappies are shaped like a disposable nappy and have a built in waterproof layer. They have a pocket which you stuff with inserts to give it absorbency. The beauty of pockets is that you can customise how much absorbency you need.

PROS: Doesn’t require a cover, absorbency can be customized, quick drying. Good for daily use, nights and cooler/wetter areas.

CONS: Sometimes needs hot washes to keep the nappy 'fresh', inserts need to stuffed into the pocket and removed before washing, more expensive due to multiple sizes (Baby BeeHinds MultiFit is the exception). 

Benefits of the Ecobubs Wool Pocket: The suedecloth inner stay-dry layer means moisture is drawn away from baby’s skin, individual side snaps for waist and thighs means the fit can be customised for your baby. The wool outer also acts as an extra waterproof barrier as wool is naturally waterproof.

All-in-Ones (and All-in-Twos) are the most like a disposable nappy. They are shaped like a disposable and have the cover and absorbency built in. These are super easy for anyone to use. Some had soaker pads that are able to be folded (or snapped out) to aid drying time but they don’t have to be removed before washing. Some designs are trimmer than others.

PROS: No folding (or not much) or stuffing, doesn’t require a cover, can be trim fitting, more sizes give a good fit (great for little babies), easy to use (great for Dads, Grandparents, Babysitters, Daycare, etc). Good for daily use and people who are new to MCN’s.

CONS: Can be more expensive due to multiple sizes (the EasyFit, tutto and Candies are the exception), not that great for nights.

The EasyFit is made from natural (bamboo) fibres so it is kind to sensitive skin, breathable and is really absorbent.

Benefits of the Baby BeeHinds Petite AI2: The fit of this nappy is trim so is really like a disposable. The inner snaps out for quicker drying time, this also means that the just the insert can be changed which makes this nappy a more economical choice. Individual side snaps for waist and thighs means the fit can be customised for your baby. The microfleece inner stay-dry layer means moisture is drawn away from baby’s skin. 

Benefits of the Baby BeeHinds Minkee MagicAlls: This nappy has a pocket to allow for extra absorbency - a bamboo insert is included. The suedecloth inner stay-dry layer means moisture is drawn away from baby’s skin. This nappy can be turned inside out to make the drying time is quicker. 

Benefits of the itti bitti bitti d'lish: Ultimate in convenience, with the one piece design. Very absorbent - expect 3 hours or more, but will need a mini booster for heavy wetters. Snaps on the flap booster allow for a bitti d'lish microfibre or bamboo snap on mini booster to be added, which increases absorbency for heavy wetters, or for extended wear/naps. Snap on boosters can be snapped with a single snap at the front and folded in half giving extra absorbency for boys and tummy sleepers.

Benefits of the itti bitti bitti tutto: The bitti tutto has a complete internal gusset, protecting the sides and back. Each nappy comes with three soaker pads, so you can customise the absorbency to suit your baby. PLUS bitti tutto is brilliantly economical, as you can buy extra soaker pads separately (in the original super absorbent bamboo, or quick dry microfibre) and re-use the outer shell! Benefits of the Bubblebubs Candies: A one-sized nappy that's specifically designed to grow with your child!  These highly absorbent nappies comes with a snap-in bamboo trifold with a microfleece layer in the middle, plus a separate bamboo booster which can also be used to boost other nappies.   Side snaps mean that they give an excellent fit around the thighs and waist.
